What's your winter arc?

The winter arc era is upon us. Instagram is filled with coaches selling you their programs to help you stay on track through the holidays. We even have people already selling you into 8-week shred programs starting in the New Year.

And while I’m all for health and fitness challenges to motivate you - I am taking a much more laid-back approach to my health this season, and I think you should t0o.

The world seems to be crashing and burning around us, both literally and figuratively, and I don’t know about you, but my Q3 gave me so much stress I thought I was having a heart attack. So I’m NOT about dialing in all my habits and getting on top of a 4-days-a-week intense training program.

I’m about being 1% better every day.

And to me, that looks like focusing on 3 or 4 small practices I know will make the most difference (for me!! Yours might be different). And I’m implementing my CARAT system to help me implement and follow through.

Because let’s face it, the hardest part about health and fitness isn’t knowing what to do, it’s actually doing it.

A quick refresh on my CARAT system:

C - Cue

A - Awareness

R - Recognize

A - Anticipate

T - Take action

This practice helps you create a routine for checking in with yourself, getting honest with where you are at and recognizing what you need to improve, planning and preparing for the inevitable obstacles and challenges that come up, and then setting up your environment of support to ensure that you actually follow through and take action.

If you’re struggling to follow through with your health behaviors, I’d love to have you join me over the next few months to help you be 1% better every day. I’m throwing an imperfect project together that is super low lift and can fit easily into your busy life.

If this sounds like something you’d want to join, hit reply to this email and let me know - what’s your biggest health struggle at the moment, and where do you want to be health-wise going into 2026?

Cheers

Morgan

I was listening to a podcast the other day on my walk, and one of the speakers talked about how she had gotten to her success in life because she had acted as if “she had the audacity of a white man.” And that struck a chord. How often do us, gender minorities, stay small, speak less, accept less, ask for less, and compromise our own well-being to make other people comfortable? I have been going through it these past few months and so much of my stress would be alleviated if I just set...

You do NOT need to do everything perfectly in order to get results. You just need to do a few things mostly well and consistently. I went through a bulk (where I was eating in a surplus to put on muscle) a couple years ago and I had a spreadsheet where I was tracking probably 20 different metrics - steps, sleep, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, my cycle, sleep, hydration, energy, measurements, weight, my lifts etc… And it while I THRIVE in data - even for me it was overwhelming each week to have...

I underestimate big projects (“Oh, that’ll take 30 minutes!” *It took 3 hours)I’m brilliant at creating monster to-do lists- I’m terrible at figuring out what actually needs to happen TODAY- I underestimate big projects (“Oh, that’ll take 30 minutes!” *It took 3 hours)- I overestimate small tasks (“This will eat my whole morning!” *It took 5 minutes)I'm feeling behind this week. Last week? I managed three late nights of dancing, head-banging to great music, living my best life. This week? I’m...
